The soft texture of wool brings us warmth and stability. However, I sought to give birth to an unfamiliar being through this familiar material.

The contrast between the face wrapped in white wool and the vivid pink body is an intentional discord. The standards by which we consider something 'beautiful' are typically harmonious and predictable. But true beauty sometimes blooms within discomfort. The being in this work is both endearing and eerie, harboring a mysterious power somewhere within.

This work represents the meeting of wool—a natural material with primitive vitality—and the artificially created face. This heterogeneous union reveals the complex and contradictory emotions that lie dormant within us.

​​​​양모의 부드러운 촉감은 우리에게 따뜻함과 안정감을 선사한다. 그러나 나는 이 친숙한 재료를 통해 오히려 낯선 존재를 탄생시키고자 했다. 

 

하얀 양모로 감싸인 얼굴과 선명한 핑크빛 몸체의 대비는 의도된 불협화음이다. 우리가 ‘아름답다’고 여기는 것들의 기준은 대개 조화롭고 예측 가능한 것들이다. 하지만 진정한 아름다움은 때로 불편함 속에서 피어난다. 이 작품 속 존재는 귀엽기도 하고 섬뜩하기도 하며, 어딘가 기묘한 힘을 품고 있다다. 

 

양모라는 자연 재료가 가진 원시적 생명력과 인공적으로 만들어진 얼굴의 만남. 이 이질적 결합은 우리 내면에 잠재된 복잡하고 모순적인 감정들을 드러낸다.
